Mike is the best VP of Product and Software Engineering I've ever worked with. For example, Mike helped discover a bug that was occurring on one of my products, and even though it wasn't necessarily his job to dig into the issue, he helped my engineers to determine the root cause, which cut back on research time.

Mike is perhaps one of the most talented Product Managers I have ever had the pleasure to work with. He is professional, courteous, incredibly intelligent, and a very hard worker. He had never been afraid to take the lead when needed, but is also a fantastic individual contributor. In summation, Mike would make a high caliber asset to any elite team he is a part of.

Mike is one of the most talented developers I've ever met. I have known and worked with Mike for many years, and I intend to work with him for many more. He is one of the most versatile developers I have ever met, with skills in everything from UI/UX design to serverless AWS CI/CD, from server-side code to mobile applications. Additionally, he has been an effective dev team leader for several projects, and he began his career by creating an open source CMS that was used by over a hundred thousand people and had hundreds of contributors. If you're looking for a motivated and skilled developer or project leader who gets things done, Mike is your guy.

Mike Henken is, of course, a talented, creative and experience coder in his own right, of course. His personal accomplishments have demonstrated that time and again. What really impresses me about Mr. Henken is his ability to inspire and motivate his team to greater and greater levels of accomplishment. His sense of exactly which projects would challenge and develop the members of his team I found to be uncanny and impressively on-point. That he does all this with a markedly "hands-off" approach allows his team to rise, on their own, to the challenges he sets before them, and also by collaborating with the other team members. This collaboration, in turn, puts those team members being consulted in training positions, raising their knowledge of the subject matter and their ability to train and converse among themselves.

While working for Mr. Henken, I was often given tasks that seemed too far beyond my current ability, and, at first, I questioned him on this. But, after accomplishing the tasks he set before me one after another, I grew in leaps and bounds as a coder and contributing team member, and my respect for Mr. Henken skyrocketed. I would, without question, work for Mr. Henken again in the future, and am envious of anyone who is offered that opportunity.

Mike is a very forward thinking programmer. His work with our company has lasted for years and have been instrumental in our companies success. Mike would be a great project manager for any programming needs you might have.

Accomplished Engineer is the phrase that comes to mind when I think about Mike Henken. I've had the pleasure of working with him for two years, during which together we constantly delivered innovative solutions that made a difference at ValueCentric. As a Project Manager, I was impressed with Mike's ability to clearly communication goals, responsibility, performance, and expectations for his team. And, of course, his reliability to execute. Mike would be a true asset for any positions requiring PM competence and problem-solving skills.

I've worked alongside Mike for two years now. In those two years, I've seen him lead a diverse full stack development team, consisting of senior to mid and junior level developers.
